Professional Qualifications

Attorney Randel “Randy” Bichler graduated from North Dakota State University in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School and was admitted to the Minnesota Bar in 1974. Randy joined the army and practiced as an Assistant Judge Advocate. He was released from active duty from the Army in 1978 earning the rank of Captain. He continued to serve in the US Army Reserve as an Assistant Judge Advocate General Core from 1978 until his retirement from service as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1997.

In 1978, Attorney Bichler joined Attorney Joseph R. Gadola’s general law practice in Wells, MN. He then practiced as Attorney Gadola’s associate until 1998, when he became the owner and sole practitioner of Bichler Law Office after Gadola’s death. Randy was the City Attorney for the City of Wells from 1997 to 2009. In July 2013, he sold his practice to the firm then known as Frundt & Johnson, Ltd., and continued practicing law part-time in their Wells office until his retirement in June 2016.
